office Profile

We’re a building design firm based on Denman Island, working primarily with new residential construction, as well as extensive remodels and renovations.

We offer architectural design and drafting services from early concept design and planning permit applications, right through to working drawings and construction detailing.

It’s our intention to combine beauty and functionality, in order to create spaces that are perfectly suited to each client and the individual way in which they live.

Each design is conceived of to create truly unique spaces that work in harmony with the site and make the most of the incredible landscape we’re so lucky to enjoy here.

As a result, each of our houses tell a different story about the people who live there and the natural environment that surrounds them.

Etienne moved to the Gulf Islands in 1990.

Inspired by his clients and the natural beauty of the Islands, he gradually gave up the building trade in order to focus on setting up a small design firm on Denman Island where he lives.

Over the years, Etienne has designed more than fifty custom homes throughout British Columbia, celebrating and showcasing the best of west coast materials and craftsmanship.

After finishing her architectural education at home in the UK, Jessica packed her bags and went exploring.

Between mountain climbing in New Zealand and learning to cook in Ireland, she somehow found her way to the Comox Valley.

Her experience of European design, materials and construction practice has been a welcomed contribution in the office.
